Paris
Client: National Geographic
An overview map of central Paris, produced for a walking guide. This map highlights the various neighbourhoods of the city centre and indicates whereabouts in the book to find detailed accounts relating to each specific region.
A relatively straightforward design style has been employed on what is a moderately complicated map. The use of semi-transparent features was chosen to enable the blocks of colour, representing each district, to remain fully visible across the whole map.
This map is one example of many produced for this guide and several others across a larger series of books. The style of this map matches the overall scheme used throughout the book and series with the fonts employed on this map in keeping with the house style of this particular publisher.
